Summary

If a person commits mischief and the resulting loss or damage is fifty rupees or more, they can be punished with imprisonment for up to two years, or a fine, or both. The type of imprisonment can be either simple or rigorous.

Official Text

Whoever commits mischief and thereby causes loss or damage to the amount of fifty rupees or upwards, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.
