Summary

If a cheque is specially crossed to more than one banker, the bank that the cheque is drawn on must refuse to pay it. The only exception is when the cheque is crossed to an agent for the purpose of collecting the money. In that case, payment may be allowed.

Where a cheque is crossed specially to more than one banker, except when crossed to an agent for the purpose of collection, the banker on whom it is drawn shall refuse payment thereof.
