Summary

If a bill of exchange is not presented for acceptance or payment on time, the delay is excused if it happened because of circumstances outside the holder's control, and not because of the holder's own fault, misconduct, or carelessness. Once those circumstances stop, the holder must present the bill within a reasonable amount of time.
