CHAPTER VIII OF NOTICE OF DISHONOUR
General
Summary
If you receive a notice that a cheque or bill has been dishonoured, you must pass that notice on to any earlier party you want to hold responsible. You have to do this within a reasonable time, unless that earlier party has already received proper notice on their own, as described in the rules for giving notice.
Official Text
Any party receiving notice of dishonour must, in order to render any prior party liable to himself, give notice of dishonour to such party within a reasonable time, unless such party otherwise receives due notice as provided by section 93.
