Summary

A summons issued under section 42 must clearly state whether the person being called is required to give evidence, to produce a document, or to do both. The summons must also require that person to appear before the officer at a specific time and place that is stated in the summons.

Every summons issued under section 42 shall state whether the person summoned is required to give evidence or to produce a document, or both and shall require shall him to appear before the said officer at a stated time and place.
