Companies Act Section 80 — Date of notice of charge
CHAPTER VI REGISTRATION OF CHARGES
Commercial / Corporate
Summary
When a charge on a company's property, assets, or undertakings is registered under section 77, anyone who later acquires that property, assets, undertakings, or any part of them, or any share or interest in them, is legally treated as having notice of the charge from the date the charge was registered. This means the person is presumed to know about the charge as of that registration date, regardless of whether they actually knew about it.
Official Text
