Summary
A certified copy of a public document can be used as evidence to prove what the original public document says. This means you do not need to bring the original document to court if you have a properly certified copy.
Official Text
Such certified copies may be produced in proof of the contents of the public documents or parts of the public documents of which they purport to be copies.
