This section covers any deliberate act or intentional failure to act that goes against the rules of this Act, or against any rule, notification, or order made under this Act, as long as that act or omission is not already covered by a specific punishment elsewhere in the Act. For such a violation, the person can be punished with imprisonment of up to six months, or a fine of up to five hundred rupees, or both.

Whoever is guilty of any willful act or intentional omission in contravention of any of the provisions of this Act or of any rule, notification or order made thereunder and not otherwise provided for in this Act, shall be punished [with [***] imprisonment] which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees or with both.
