Accessibility Statement

Orjur is committed to making legal research accessible to all legal professionals, including those with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and the guidelines set by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW).

• Semantic HTML structure with appropriate heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3)
• All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable using Tab and Enter
• Sufficient colour contrast ratio (>4.5:1) across primary UI elements
• Alt text on all informational images and icons
• Resizable text — the layout adjusts gracefully at up to 200% zoom
• Screen reader-compatible: tested with NVDA on Chrome and VoiceOver on Safari
• No content that flashes more than 3 times per second
• Focus indicators visible on all interactive controls

We are actively working to resolve the following known gaps:

• Some older case law PDFs in our archive do not have machine-readable text layers (scanned images). We are progressively adding OCR-based text alternatives.
• Complex data tables in judgment summaries may not have full ARIA table roles in all views — planned for Q3 2026.
• The floating chat widget (Lex) is partially keyboard-accessible; full ARIA live-region support is in progress.

• Voice control: Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Windows Speech Recognition
• Zoom tools: Browser native zoom up to 200%, Windows Magnifier
• High contrast mode: Windows High Contrast supported
